The Irritable Bowel Syndrome-Fibromyalgia Connection

The numbers are staggering - as many as 60% of IBS patients also suffer from fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) and as many as 70% of FMS patients have reported experiencing symptoms of IBS. Like IBS, women are affected more often with FMS than men. What is FMS, and is there a connection with IBS?
