Are NSAIDs Safe for People With IBD?

For many years, it has been standard for gastroenterologists to tell their patients with IBD to avoid over-the-counter painkillers (NSAIDs) because they may cause a relapse, or flare-up. Recently, however, new evidence has been found that questions whether all patients with IBD really need to stay away from NSAIDs.
