Evening Primrose Oil

Monday January 15, 2007
Evening primrose oil (EPO) is thought to be beneficial in the treatment of many medical conditions. This complementary therapy may be helpful for PMS, which affects women with IBD the same as it affects women without IBD. In fact, some women with IBD or other gastrointestinal complaints such as IBS, find that their gastro problems get worse during PMS. EPO is not recommended for use, however, by pregnant or nursing women, as the effects on a baby aren't currently known.
