IBD and Your Appendix

I had my appendix remove with surgery for a ruptured blood vessel on my large intestine. They though I had a ruptured appendix with the symtoms but it was fine. 15 years later I developed Ulcerative Colitis, which I thought was bleeding hemmorroids. So did the first Dr. who removed them.
