A white blood cell (WBC) count (sometimes also called leukocyte count or white count) is a fairly common blood test that your doctor may order, especially while your IBD is flaring. It is usually done along with other blood tests in order to give your physician a bigger picture of what's going on with you and with your IBD. Have you ever asked to know the number of your white blood cell count? Would you know what the number meant if you were told? Find out more about the WBC count test.
