One side effect of IBD that we don't often think about is dehydration. But it is a very real concern, especially when diarrhea and vomiting are severe and go on for several days. In the hot summer months, the water loss from sympotoms coupled with water loss from sweat can take a toll on our bodies. But when should you be concerned that you're losing too much water? Is there anything you can do to prevent becoming dehydrated? And is water really the best thing to drink when you're dehydrated?
