Last month I delved into our feelings of guilt over IBD, and this month I want to take a look at how IBD may leave us feeling angry. Anger is an emotion that is pretty easy for most people to identify. But the anger you feel about your IBD diagnosis might be a front for some other, more complicated emotions. In addition, anger can have some negative effects on your health, as well as your relationships with family and friends. The best idea -- even though it is probably going to be difficult -- is to acknowledge your feelings and do what you can to work through them. I have some ideas on why you might be feeling anger, as well as what you can do to feel less anger.
