
Most of us do it every year -- we make some sort of resolution (or even several resolutions) and then break it (or them) not long after the new year begins. Perhaps this year you want to set some goals regarding your IBD, such as resolving to take better care of yourself, forge a better relationship with your healthcare team, or be more assertive about your health care goals.
Unfortunately we tend to fall back into our old patterns pretty quickly and abandon our goals despite even the best of intentions. This is because we've set ourselves up for failure from the very beginning without even knowing it. But it doesn't have to be that way. This year, stop that cycle and use my 10 tips for keeping those New Year's resolutions long after January 1st.
