December 13, 2003Blame Your Crohn's on Your Kenmore?A new theory put forth in The Lancet makes a connection between Crohn's disease and refrigerators. Apparently, Crohn's began to be prevalent at the same time refrigerators were becoming a common household appliance. The theory is that as society becomes more hygenic, children are exposed to fewer bacteria and therefore have weakened immune systems. |
