People with diarrhea predominant IBS will want to keep on the lookout for foods that act as natural laxatives. These foods can speed up the transit time of food in the gut, and lead to the start of, or an increase in diarrhea.

Natural laxatives include:

  • Figs
  • Licorice
  • Rhubarb
