Studies Suggest Eating Garlic Does Protect Against Cancers

After comparing six studies of garlic consumption on colorectal cancer, researchers at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill have concluded that garlic might protect against cancer.

The study also pointed out that garlic supplements may not have the same effect, as they frequently lack a crucial ingredient. Therefore, taking these supplements will give no benefit.

An astounding 30 to 50% reduction in colorectal cancer may occurs in people who eat more garlic. Researchers, warn, however, that more study is needed.

The use of garlic in medicine dates back to the ancient Egyptians, when slaves who worked on the pyramids were given a daily dose. At one point, the garlic was taken off their diet to save money, and the workers revolted until they were given their garlic again.
