Side Effects - Colazal [Balsalazide Disodium]

Less frequent or rare:

Check with your doctor if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhea
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Joint pain
  • Nausea
  • Respiratory infection
  • Vomiting

Always Notify Doctor:

Less Common or Rare

  • An allergic reaction (rash or hives, itching, difficulty breathing or swallowing)
  • Fever
  • Rectal Bleeding
  • Severe stomach cramps
  • Worsening of ulcerative colitis symptoms
