The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) has organized charity walks and runs across the country to raise money and awareness of inflamamtory bowel disease (IBD). These events are a great way to get involved with your local CCFA chapter, meet people in your area with IBD, and raise money for research and education about IBD.

Walkers can register -- and take pledges -- online. The automatic email system makes it a snap to email friends, family, and colleagues to ask them for donations. Pledges can be made online with a credit card, or can be collected by walkers and mailed in or brought to the event.
