Anticholinergics

Definition: Anticholinergics are a family of chemical compounds that have profound effects on many organs of the body. Some are sometimes used to treat muscle spasms in the intenstine, although side effects such as constipation and dry mouth are frequent. Bentyl (dicyclomine) and Levsin (hyoscyamine) are examples of anticholinergics.
