Relief from painful abdomial cramps could be as simple as plugging in a heating pad. Or, try the new heating pads that are warmed up in the microwave for moist heat.

Heat can work wonders on a sore abdomen, but remember these points:

  • Never use a muscle pain relief product, such as Ben-Gay, before applying heat.
  • Don't fall asleep with the heating pad still on.
  • Never use a heating pad on bare skin.
