The severity of IBD symptoms can vary widely from person to person, and not everyone experiences every symptom. For some, the pain may be the most problematic, while for others, the diarrhea can truly make them miserable. Which IBD symptom has impacted your life the most? Share Your Experience

Worst Symptom

For me, the worst symptom is the urgency to use the restroom and the unpredictability of when this is going to happen. I have no time to get there when my disease is active. This has limited my life in so many ways. I travel only minimally anymore. My husband had to do the college campus tours with our daughter as I was too worried about the restroom situation. I don't go to places where I am uncertain about the restroom facilities. It is truly a debilitating disease.

Probable Crohn's Disease

Just had my procedure done and the doctor thinks I have Crohn's disease. I will get my result next week. Reading the symptons I would say I have had this for years. Has been at its worst since April this year.

Unpredictable Diarrhea

Many health professionals have recommended that I learn relaxation exercises. BUT, when I try to relax, I end up losing control of my bowels. So frustrating!

Me: Rumbly Tumbly; Sis: Diarrhea

My IBS symptoms tend to be pretty mild, so the worst of it for me is when I get an upset-stomach feeling that lasts for hours. My tummy area emits interesting sounds, to broadcast to the world that all is not right with my gastrointestinal situation. It's not horrible, but it is uncomfortable in more ways than one. My sister, on the other hand, gets really bad diarrhea and can be stuck on the potty (off and on, but mostly on) for literally hours! This takes a lot of time out of her life, and is uncomfortable to boot! At least she gets a lot of reading done...
