From the article: Gifts for People With IBD
Some gift ideas that are touted as good for just about anyone, such as chocolate or wine, may not be the best choice for someone with IBD. Other poor gift ideas might be medical aids such as a pill holder or anything that goes in the bathroom such as a toilet seat or shower chair. A gag gift such as a whoopie cushion might really offend, and books about IBD or cookbooks for people with IBD might be taken the wrong way. Have you received a gift that just didn't go over well? What was it?
