J-pouch surgery for ulcerative colitis is major surgery -- and often it's done in 2 or 3 steps over the course of several months. Before having j-pouch surgery, you probably read about the procedures and risks, talked to your surgeons and even other people who had the surgery, and took care during your recovery period. Even so, there's probably something that you learned that you would have benefitted from knowing before you had the surgery. What do you know now that you wish you had known before you had j-pouch surgery?
