Most of us have our hands full incorporating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) into our everyday lives. But there are some folks who go over and above the everyday, and achieve great things even with the IBD coming along for the ride. This week as the world watches the Olympics, we have a kindred spirit in kayaker Carrie Johnson, who has Crohn's disease. Crohn's has taken its toll on Johnson's paddling career in the past, but she's back for the Olympic games this year in London. Johnson will compete in the Women's K-1 200m race on Friday, Aug 10 at 5:19 AM Eastern time. Check your local listings at http://www.nbcolympics.com/tv-listings/ to find out when you can view Johnson's race.
