Taking medications on a long-term basis to treat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is fairly typical. Some medications have generic versions that are cheaper, but the latest drugs are often quite costly and may not be entirely covered by insurance. If you don't have insurance, affording these drugs may be almost impossible. Have you ever been uninsured or unable to pay for your drugs? How did you find a way to pay for your medications, or did you go without?
